Meet The Founder
Hi, I’m Shunta, the founder of The Thrifty Scholar. As a college advisor, Advanced English teacher, and someone who graduated with over $100,000 in student debt, I understand the challenges many students face. Growing up, I lacked the guidance to navigate the financial aspects of higher education, which fueled my passion for ensuring others have the tools and knowledge I wish I’d had.
With over 16 years of teaching experience and a deep commitment to breaking cycles of poverty, I have dedicated myself to helping students explore postsecondary pathways that align with their dream without overwhelming financial strain. Through The Thrifty Scholar, I’m excited to continue making education accessible, equitable, and empowering for all.
